Recently I have asked you to pray for what could be fueled by the belief that it should be: The Big Serve on April 16 (remember we are praying for projects and 130 people to be involved), Bring Your Best offering on Easter Sunday, April 24 (we are praying for God to provide $25,000 through us), and Weekly Small Groups to grow from 5 to 8 during 2011.
Today, I would like to share with you more details about the Bring Your Best offering on Easter Sunday, April 24. On this special Sunday we will give God our best in the form of a financial offering. Together we hope to collect $25,000 in either cash or pledges. This offering will support the following:
$10,000 Facilities - Air Conditioner repair on 3 of our 10 units. Electrical improvements to facilitate the outdoor lighting of our front sign and parking areas. Roof repair on Student Center Building.
$4,000 “One Story Live from Bethlehem” – An outdoor dramatic Presentation of the Christmas Story. Funds will be used to build the set, make costumes, and publicize the event to the community.
$4,000 India – Completing the second floor (providing four additional rooms) of Pastor Joseph Matcha’s home to enable missionaries to stay with him while ministering with his church in India. Provide continued support and care for 80 orphans.
$3,000 Mission Trips - Scholarship assistance for those at Fellowship Church wanting to engage in international missions to Central America, the Philippines, India, and Pakistan.
$2,000 Children’s Outreach – Providing Biblical teaching to the children of Fellowship and our community through events such as VBS.
$2,000 Big Serve Projects - Ability to serve our community with Christ’s love through acts of kindness such as painting, simple construction, and other benevolence oriented needs.
Please pray about what God would have you to give towards the Bring Your Best Offering on April 24. This is what could be fueled by the belief that it should be! A good question to ask yourself is “what are the ‘extras’ that I can do without so that I can invest in God’s Kingdom ?”
