The Food Ministry at Fellowship Church has been distributing food to families in need since 1995. Over 4,500 people were helped last year through this ministry.

Every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, members of Fellowship give away 65-pound boxes of food to 30 to 50 families. A member of Food Ministry prays with each recipient before he or she receives food. The Plan of Salvation is presented to those attending for the first time.

Adults and teen church members volunteer to help the ministry, which is directed by Sparks Giebeig. Fellowship Church purchases most of its food from the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank in Gainesville, Florida.

Each recipient is required to fill out a form before food can be received. The gospel is shared with each person and prayed with about needs they might have. Records are kept to document that food has been distributed, so our church can continue to purchase food through USDA channels.
